As part of Monster Energy's small in-house studio, we had the opportunity to film an interview with British racing driver Nicolas Hamilton, exploring his journey into motorsport and experiences growing up with cerebral palsy. Filmed at Silverstone, the historic home of the British Grand Prix, I played a hands-on role throughout the production; developing the visual concept and art direction, assisting with setting up and filming the interview, and taking full ownership of the edit through to the final film. Within the edit, I interlaced B-roll footage and personal photographs from Nicolas’ life, creating a more intimate, human side to his story. I carefully shaped the conversation through pacing, shot selection and visual storytelling to create an authentic and emotionally engaging film, which was showcased internally to Monster Energy employees as part of their Black History Month initiatives.
