ABOUT PHOEBE

I’ve been making and editing films for as long as I can remember. What started as something I loved doing as a kid has grown into a career I’m genuinely passionate about. I’ve been using Adobe Premiere Pro for over a decade and have spent eight years working professionally in Video Editing, across small creative agencies, in-house teams and freelance projects. I’m currently freelancing full-time, working across everything from branded and commercial content to more cinematic, story-led projects.
I grew up living in different parts of the world, including Malaysia and Australia, which probably explains why I’ve always loved travelling, experiencing new places and meeting different people. I think that naturally feeds into the way I approach creative work too. I’m always curious, love to keep learning and enjoy finding new ways to tell a story. I have a Master’s Degree in Art Direction, which gives me a strong visual and creative foundation alongside my editing skills. I’m particularly drawn to cinematic storytelling, with a big focus on pacing, music, atmosphere and creating an edit that actually makes you feel something.
Although editing is my main thing, I’ve also spent plenty of time behind the camera. I’ve filmed interviews, directed shoots and recently made my own short documentary about my dad’s incredible story of being rescued from the jungle in Malaysia - filming, directing and editing the entire thing myself. Ultimately, I just love making films. Whether I’m cutting a commercial, building a story from hours of footage or creating something completely from scratch, I’m happiest when I’m in Premiere, figuring out how to make something work.
